PASSION FRUIT EXTRACT BG is an extract obtained from the peel of passion fruit (Passiflora edulis Sims) through 1,3-butylene glycol aqueous solution.

Passion fruit contains nutritional elements such as β-carotenes, vitamin C and other vitamins, and citric acid. It is a specialty fruit product of Okinawa, Japan. Passion fruit has attracted attention as a healthy fruit. Juice squeezed from passion fruit is used in beverages such as fruit juices and wine, while the fruit itself is processed into jams and other food products. The Japanese name for passion fruit is tokeiso, which literally means “clock plant.” The name comes from the clock-like shape of the flower.
