Skin whitening extract from oranges with a high content of the skin whitening factor PMF

1. Features

  • CHINPI EXTRACT PM-F contains polymethoxyflavones (PMFs). PMFs are flavonoids unique to citrus fruits. They collectively refer to compounds in which several methoxy groups are bonded to a flavone backbone.

  • Inhibits melanin formation。
    CHINPI EXTRACT PM-F demonstrates a stronger inhibitory effect on melanogenesis at a lower concentration than other main skin-whitening agents. Moreover, CHINPI EXTRACT PM-F has shown that tyrosinase protein is reduced by maintaining an acidic environment within melanosomes.
  • Inhibits the production of PGE2, which stimulates inflammation, by suppressing the expression of UV-induced COX-2

  • The active ingredients has been identified.
    The main active ingredients are the three PMFs of heptamethoxyflavone, nobiletin and tangeretin. Together, the concentration of these PMFs is about 1%.
  • In clinical skin-whitening tests performed according to Korean application guidelines for functional cosmetics (skin whitening agents), CHINPI EXTRACT PM-F 1% skin cream was found to have a skin-whitening effect.
