AKEBIA EXTRACT BG is a mixture of an extract obtained from the vine-like stem of Akebia quinata Decaisne or Akebia trifoliata Koidzumi (Lardizabalaceae) through water (akebia stem extract), and 1,3 butylene glycol.

1. Features

  • Moisturizer based on a new concept
    Akebia Extract BG enhances the production of “urea,” a natural moisturizing factor, by epidermal cells. Along with supplying moisture from the outside, Akebia Extract BG enhances the skin’s ability to produce “urea” inside the skin. By doing so, it is expected to restore well hydrated and youthful skin from both the inside and outside.
  • Contains useful ingredients
    Contains saponin (akeboside), and tannin.
  • An extract with a verified safety profile
    (Implemented nine types of safety tests for new ingredients)
    Animal safety test implementation period: April 8, 1997 to June 24, 1997
