Background
Major changes in functions can be achieved by altering the shape and other characteristics of particles used in metallic soap. Consequently, even materials that have been widely used for many years can produce unprecedented functions through the use of a dramatically different particle shape. In recent years, there have been rapid advances in applied technologies involving microscopic inorganic particles, carbon particles and other fine chemical materials. Global interest is high in this technology, which is seen as vital to scientific progress. In essence, this is a technique in which new functions are achieved through the use of unique configurations of materials that are already used. |

Characteristics
metallic soap is one of the most widely used products made from fatty acids. sderivatives. This new product, which incorporates fine particles, has a level of particle precision that was impossible using earlier technology. Fine particle of metallic soap is provided by an exclusive NOF synthesis process called the high-speed continuous blending method (jet mixing method). This technology makes possible a metallic soap with an unprecedented degree of sharpness in particle size distribution and uniformity in particle shape. As a result, this new metallic soap is suitable for use with high-performance materials where conventional metallic soaps are unacceptable.

Outlook
Currently, NOF is working on ways on using metal particles and resin particles as agents to increase fluidity, improve dispersion, prevent blocking, add static electricity and achieve other improvements in surfaces of metal sheets, as well as to enhance the physical properties of cosmetics products. These new products are generating much interest in many industries due to their ability to provide new functions. Through further advances in this exclusive technology, NOF plans to introduce a series of metal soap products that will further distinguish its products from those of competitors. The company will also work on creating new needs for these products and expanding applications. |
