NOF manufactures fatty acids and glycerin from natural oils and fats, supplying a lineup of products suited to many applications. Products include stearic acid, various purified fatty acids, oleic acid and high-purity, unsaturated fatty acids. These materials are used in many products, including pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, synthetic resins, rubber and tires, lubricants and coatings.

NOF supplies a variety of fatty acid derivatives. Among them there are esters used as lubricants, metallic soap used as an additive for synthetic resins, amide esters, and alkyl ketene dimers used as a papermaking agents. Other important products are fatty acid chlorides and aliphatic amines, which are widely used as intermediates for various chemical products.

NOF supplies a variety of surfactants. As anionic surfactants, NOF produces amino acid derivatives, such as acylmethyl taurates, as well as alkyl sulfates and alkyl ether sulfates. Amine salt and quaternary ammonium salt are supplied for use as cation activators, and betaine, carboxymethyl amine and imidazolinium based compounds are used as amphoteric surfactants. As nonionic surfactants, NOF supplies ester-type nonionics, polyether-type nonionics, and alkanolamides.

NOF manufactures polyglycol products, primarily derived from ethylene oxide and propylene oxide. Other products are a variety of esters made from acrylic acid and methacrylic acid, glycidyl ester incorporating an epoxy group, and glycidyl ethers. These materials are used in the manufacture of electrical and electronic materials, synthetic resins, construction materials, food products, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and numerous other products.
