Oxidation Stress Markers
Antibodies for Immunological Research
Many illnesses related to aging such as arterial sclerosis, cancer and diabetes are believed to arise from oxidative stress. Targeting on lipids, genes and sugars, NOF produces markers to measure the stress. NOF currently supplies the following antibody products: lipid stress markers ACR (acrolein), 4-HNE (4-hydroxynonenal), MDA (malon di-aldehyde), and CRA (croton aldehyde), genetic stress marker 8-OHdG (8-hydroxy-2'-deoxyguanosine), and sugar stress marker MG (methyl glyoxyzal). These markers are employed in the research of illnesses related to aging and lifestyle-related disorders, and are also expected to play a part in the development of foods that help control harmful active oxygen in the body, so-called anti-oxidation foods for protective from aging.
