This business has steadily grown in scale since NOF launched its organic peroxide business in 1957. The Functional Chemicals & Polymers Business now carries out wide and varied operations centered around three core products: organic peroxides, petrochemicals and functional polymers.

In organic peroxides, the business is actively developing new products and searching for new applications, earning acclaim for NOF as one of only a handful of companies worldwide capable of manufacturing a comprehensive range of organic peroxide products.

In petrochemicals, the business contributes to the development of numerous industries through the manufacture and supply of products such as polybutene, isoparaffin-based odorless solvents and maleic anhydrides.

In functional polymers, the business is aggressively developing new applications for its range of innovative, highly functional products. Efforts include the provision of specific graft copolymers and block copolymers for use as plastic modifiers—products born out of unique proprietary technologies and approaches.
