Evaluation of Compression Set

  • ■ Test condition (According to JIS K 6262, ASTM D395 test method B)

    • ・test specimen : Cylinder shaped test piece (diameter=29mm, thickness = 12.5mm)
    • ・Test temperature : 120℃
    • ・Compressed rate : 25%

  • ■ Test method

    1. 1. Place test pieces with spacers on flat steel, then press to required compression percentage.
    2. 2. Place the assembled compression device into the oven set at specified temperature, and place for the specified test period.
    3. 3. At the end of test period, take the device from the oven, and remove the test pieces from the device. Cool them for 30 minutes at room temperature. Measure the final thickness.

  • ■ Test results

    NOF®-ALLOY TZ Series has an excellent compression set.
    In addition, good compression set can be sustained for a long time.
